FNG V graduated from KU in 1999. His mere appearance at ’95 orientation earned him instant credibility with the KU administration, as he was assigned room 420 in Ellsworth Hall. He presided over the scene calmly and collectively, his flowing locks communicating his M.O. without the need to even speak. In subsequent years, he would give the traditional landline telephone a workout with his succinct, cunning, yet predictable approach, “What are you doing? Who’s over there? What are you gonna do? Come over.” FNG V, his wife Kelly, and daughter Nora Rose (“No-Ro”) reside in Chicago’s suburbs and are probably doing something cooler than you are right now.
